A Laptop, smartphone or tablet is required in order to use the free WiFi hotspots. After selecting the WiFi network with the name #SalzburgSurft, the device browser will get redirected to the page with Terms and Conditions for the network. Please read the Terms and Conditions and agree to them by clicking on the “Agree”-Button. Using the WiFi network is free of charge and does not require registration. When the “Agree”-Button has been clicked, the device is allowed to access the Internet for 12 hours at all #SalzburgSurft locations. After this time, the process which is described above has to be repeated.
After the network #SalzburgSurft has been selected in the WLAN menu of the respective device, a request to log into the network is displayed in the notification area. After clicking the “I agree” button, the respective device is authorized to access Internet content at all #SalzburgSurft locations.
After the network #SalzburgSurft has been selected in the WLAN menu of the respective device, any page must be opened in a web browser (e.g. Chrome, Firefox or Internet Explorer) (e.g. http://1.1.1.1). It is important that this is not an HTTPS site. The hotspot system will redirect the web browser to the network login page. After clicking the “I agree” button, the respective device is authorized to access Internet content at all #SalzburgSurft locations.
